What is Noveldom and Beyond?
Noveldom and Beyond is a world-wide reading contest for people of all ages and cultures. You set your page goal and read as many pages as you can within the three month time limit.
Which medias count towards my page goal?
Novels, short books and stories, newspapers, information booklets, leaflets etc. If you are reading your stories online, please PM me or my staff with how many words there are in the document and we will translate that into rough page counts.
Who are the staff?
Myself, Harrison and d3monicninja666 currently. These are the only staff for the 2011 No & Be. If you would like to volunteer your services, however, please PM one of us
What is a page goal?
A page goal is the end point of your contest; say your page goal is 30 pages. You must read 30 pages to reach your goal and therefore win.
What is my page goal?
The default page goal is 4000 pages. However, you can change it if you wish.
How do I set my own page goal?
You go to the 'My Stats' page and create your stats as shown on the 'how-to' thread. A moderator will check it and we will sort out your settings.
Are there stages or levels to complete?
Not really. The months that No & Be are set in offer a monthly challenge each - you get a graphic at the end of the month if you win the challenge to brag. But other than that, not really - not unless you want to make levels for yourself to motivate yourself more - we don't mind.
When you say 'win', do you mean 'beat everyone else on the site'?[/color]
No, I don't. When I say 'win', I mean you win over yourself, and your whiny inner critic who whispers mean things to you like 'you can't possibly read that much, loser!'
So what do I get when I win against my inner critic?
Well, because I have no money whatsoever, you will recieve a 'Winners Pack' of online goodies like: web badges, icons and avatars, even signature sentences to brag on other websites!
If you have any more questions, please PM them to me with the title 'FAQ'. They will be posted here as soon as possible.
